கதைக்கு தேவை என்றால் கிளாமராக நடிக்கவும் தயார் என்பது, எல்லா நடிகைகளும் ஏதாவது ஒருகட்டத்தில் உதிர்க்கும் பொன்மொழி. அனேகமாக மார்க்கெட் டல்லடிக்கும் நடிகைகளின் வாயிலிருந்து இந்த பொன்மொழி உதிரும்.

லட்சுமி மேனனுக்கு வாய்ப்புக்கு எந்தக் குறையும் இல்லை. அவரே அப்படியொரு ஸ்டேட்மெண்டைவிடுத்து தமிழ், கேரளா இரண்டு ஸ்டேட்டையும் அதிர வைத்திருக்கிறார். என்னவாம் விஷயம்…?

லட்சுமி மேனனுக்கு சிட்டி கேர்ளாக நடிக்கவே ஆசை. ஆனால் தொடர்ந்து அவரை கிராமத்து ரோல்களிலேயே நடிக்க வைக்கிறார்கள். லட்சுமி மேனனுக்கு கிளாமர் சரிவராது என்று நினைப்பதால்தான் கிராமத்து வேடமே அவருக்கு அதிகம் கிடைக்கிறது. அதனை உடைக்க விரும்புகிறார் லட்சுமி மேனன்.

யட்சனின் மாபெரும் தோல்விக்குப் பிறகு, எழுத்தாளர் பாலகுமாரனுடன் இணைந்து சரித்திர கதை ஒன்றை எழுதி வருகிறார் விஷ்ணுவர்தன். இது குறித்து அவரே தகவல் வெளியிட்டிருந்தது முக்கியமானது.

பிரமாண்டமாக தயாராகவிருக்கும் இந்தப் படத்தில் அஜித் நடிக்கயிருப்பதாக ஒரு வதந்தி உலவுகிறது.

விஷ்ணுவர்தன் அஜித்தை வைத்து இரு படங்கள் இயக்கியிருக்கிறார். இரண்டுமே வெற்றிப் படங்கள். அதனை வைத்து, விஷ்ணுவர்தனின் சரித்திரப் படத்தில் அஜித் நடிப்பதாக வதந்தி கிளம்பியுள்ளது.

வதந்தி உண்மையாகுமா என்பதை பொறுத்திருந்துதான் பார்க்க வேண்டும்.

Suriya’s film shot at popular cricket stadium

The makers of 24, starring Suriya and Samantha in lead roles, recently shot a few scenes at a popular cricket stadium that used to be the home turf for IPL franchise Pune Warriors before it was dismissed from the cricket league. We hear that the team shot crucial sequences in the Subrata Roy Sahara Stadium in Pune. The team wrapped up the shoot there in a single day, and is currently in its last leg of shooting, according to a source.

 

The film, which will have lots of scenes involving graphics, will have its post-production for about two months, which will commence from November. Recently, the team canned some sequences in Poland and Mumbai. The movie, which is rumoured to have Suriya in three different avatars, is being directed by Vikram Kumar, and is produced by Suriya’s 2D Entertainment.  The music of the film is scored by AR Rahman, while cinematography is by Kiran Deohans.

Santhanam’s bearded look goes viral

The comedian-turned-hero Santhanam’s new look for his upcoming flick which was kept under wraps is finally out. Of late, the actor was shunning away from filmy events to hold the suspense element. Now that it is revealed, his fully bearded look has already gone viral on the Internet. And here’s a fun coincidence — it’s just in time for Movember too! Though he was part of horror flicks like Aranmanai as a comedian, Santa who is also smitten by the genre,  wanted to give it a shot playing solo lead!

He has now roped in Ram Bala, his close friend from television days to wield the megaphone for this new untitled movie. The team is looking out for a heroine and insiders say that they are going in for a newcomer. While Thenandal Films known for their expertise in marketing horror themes is producing the venture, composer Thaman is behind the console. The film is slated to go on floors during the second week of November.

Movie Review Chikkiku Chikkikichu: An interesting love story

RATING: Two stars

It’s a season of short filmmakers trying their hands on silver screen. Joining the list is N. Rajesh Kumar who was part of a TV series 'Naalaya Iyakkunar'. The entire story of his debut venture Chikkikku Chikkikichu takes place on a moving train that commutes between Chennai and Nagerkovil.

Chikki aka Chidambaram Krishnan (Mithun) comes to the railway station to see off his friend (Aadhavan) to Nagerkovil. When the train is about to leave, Chikki comes across a beautiful girl (Mridhula) and falls head over heels with her. He quickly changes his mind and boards the train in the blink of an eye. He also manages to find a seat next to her. Initially she does not reciprocate to his antics, but slowly Mridhula also is drawn towards Chikki. When Chikki gains strength and reveals his feelings, a twist in the tale takes place. How the couple comes out of their problem forms the rest.

Mithun fits the role of a young man who falls hook-line sinker for Mridhula. He expresses his love more through his body language than mouthing heavy dialogues. The director should be commended for steer clearing from sleazy scenes despite the film being a romantic tale that takes place in one night journey. The problem with the movie is that it just revolves around the lead two characters most part of it. Hence, after a point tedium sets in. Comic portions also fall flat. On the technical front, N.S. Rajesh’s cinematography warrants mention. His lighting and compositions inside a moving train is a major plus to the movie. Two of the songs by Vijay Benjamin are breezy.

Vivekh thanks media and fans

Actor Vivekh who was recently bereaved owing to his son’s demise had humbly requested the media to stay away from reporting anything related to the incident. His 13-year-old son passed away due to dengue and many celebrities offered condolences directly and through social networking sites. The veteran has now took on to Twitter to thank his followers and admirers in the social platform who paid condolence messages to him. He also thanked the media for cooperating to his  request and for standing beside him.

ஆர்யா, அனுஷ்கா, பிரகாஷ் ராஜ் நடிப்பில் தமிழ் மற்றும் தெலுங்கு ஆகிய இரு மொழிகளும் ஒரே நேரத்தில் வெளியாகவிருக்கும் படமே “இஞ்சி இடுப்பழகி” தெலுங்கில் “சைஸ் ஜீரோ” என்ற பெயரில் வெளியாகிறது. இப்படத்திற்கான இசை வெளியீட்டு விழா இன்று நடைபெற்றது. நாசர், மோகன்ராஜா, மதன்கார்க்கி, அனுஷ்கா, ஆர்யா உள்ளிட்ட பல பிரபலங்கள் கலந்துகொண்டனர். நாசர் பேசும் போது இவ்விழாவிற்கு நான் நடிகர் சங்கத் தலைவராகவோ, ஒரு நடிகராகவோ வரவில்லை. ஓரு அப்பாக வந்திருக்கிறேன். என்னுடைய மகள் அனுஷ்காவிற்காக வந்திருக்கிறேன். இந்தப் படத்தில் நடிப்பதற்கு முன்பு என்னிடம் கதையைக் கூறி இந்தப் படத்தில் நடிக்கப்போகிறேன் என்று கூறினார். 

படத்தின் பொருட்செலவைப் பொருத்து ஒப்பனைக் கலைஞர்களின் மூலம் உடல் எடையை கூட்டியது போல தோற்றம் கொண்டுவந்துவிடலாம் என்று கூறினேன். அதுவெல்லாம் வேண்டாம் சார், நான் உடல் எடையையே கூட்டப்போகிறேன் என்று கூறினார். எடையைக் கூட்டி அந்த பாத்திரத்தை உணரப் போகிறேன் என்று என்னிடம் ஆர்வத்துடன் தெரிவித்தார் அனுஷ்கா. அவர் தொழில் மீது வைத்துள்ள மரியாதையை அது காட்டுகிறது. அதுபோல், ஆர்யா எப்போதும் பெண்களுடன் மட்டுமே பேசுவார் என்று பலரும் கூறுகின்றனர். அப்படியெல்லாம் கிடையாது. அவர் எல்லோருடனும் கலகலப்பாக பழகக் கூடியவர். அவருடன் நான் 3-க்கும் மேற்பட்ட படங்களில் நடித்துள்ளேன். அவர் இருந்தால் அந்த படப்பிடிப்பு தளமே மிகவும் கலகலப்பாக இருக்கும். அவருடன் நடித்தது எல்லாம் மறக்கமுடியாது என்று கூறினார். இன்றைய விழா நாயகன் இசையமைப்பாளர் மரகதமணி தான். இளையராஜாவுக்கு இணையான ஓர் இசையை அவர் வழங்கிக் கொண்டிருக்கின்றார். அதற்கு ‘பாகுபலி’ உள்ளிட்ட பல படங்கள் சாட்சியாக இருக்கின்றன என்று கூறியுள்ளார்.
