Thomas Cook launches India's first Foreign Exchange mobile app

Thomas Cook (India) on Monday launched ‘Foreign Exchange app', a consumer-empowering one-stop shop for foreign exchange transactions.
The Android mobile app features live rates across major global currencies, including USD, Euro, Swiss and Franc, to cover both buying and selling of foreign exchange.
It also has 'Block My Rate' option as protection against rate fluctuations, the company said in a release.
This will be the country's first ever-transitive mobile app for foreign exchange, providing customers a handy tool of rate alerts for specified currencies via SMS and email.
"Our internal research has highlighted that while over 40 per cent of our online transactions are via a mobile device, for foreign exchange, this is truly noteworthy at over 65 percent.
Hence, launching our Thomas Cook Forex app was clearly the need of the hour,” Amit Madhan, COO - IT and E Services, Thomas Cook (India), said.
Thomas Cook (India) is the leading integrated travel and travel-related financial services company in the country, offering services like Foreign Exchange, corporate travel, MICE, leisure travel, insurance, Visa and Passport services and E-Business. The company set up its first office in India in 1881.
